my practice:

Approaching my first foray into psychotherapy, I'm informed and inspired by my extensive professional experience spanning the mental health field in diverse areas - social work, group facilitation, recovery and substance misuse. I'm deeply passionate about developing individualized pathways of recovery and wellness for folks seeking to improve the overall holistic quality of their life.

Recovery can mean a lot of things, but by definition it is “a return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength” [through] “the action or process of regaining possession or control of something stolen or lost.” In essence, you're in recovery when you decide you are. I'm here to hold space and support you.

Whether you're feeling lost, confused, overwhelmed, or unmotivated, I can help you unlock your capacity to set and meet your goals. I use a multitude of different therapeutic methods. Let’s get you back in control of your own life, learn to love all parts of yourself - mind, body, spirit - to optimize your life's path and experiences now and well into the future.

It is important to me to be transparent about my history - while working in the service industry in New Orleans as a chef, I developed an addiction and am a proud person in recovery from Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) since 2015. A pillar of my own recovery and self-care is mindfulness - you're likely to see me teaching yoga around town. I invite your vulnerability and your intention for mindful healing, and I'm excited to work with you.
