Amanda Rouquette
The foundation of my practice is rooted in connection, helping you understand your nervous system with compassion, respect, and care. I meet you where you are, and work alongside you to understand your lived experiences. I come from a somatic and trauma informed lens, utilizing Somatic Experiencing and person centered frameworks like Gestalt, Attachment theory, and other relational ways of being.
Many people feel that talk therapy has kept them stuck and unfulfilled. By looking at the nervous system, it gives us deeper answers as to how your unique trauma has shaped your life and any current symptoms you may be experiencing as a result, like chronic pain, digestive issues, sleep problems, and others. I create a space that lets those patterns come to the surface and be held in a safe, supportive space for deep and long lasting healing.
I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma that lives both in the body and in everyday life—especially the kinds of trauma that often go unseen, such as complex trauma, attachment wounds, and financial trauma. Our work together is collaborative and a shared experience. I will always walk with you in this process, taking in your experiences that have shaped you and how you relate to the outside world and in relationships. I am also a member of the queer community and am committed to working with those who identify as LGBTQ+ and others who feel marginalized.
I hold our work together with deep reverence, care, and attunement. I look forward to working with you!
