Dr. Shannon Poe
Some experiences leave an imprint on us.
Trauma, grief, medical diagnoses, chronic illness, and unexpected life changes can shift the way we experience ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us. Sometimes the mind understands what happened, but the nervous system is still carrying the echoes.
You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted, anxious, stuck, or as though a part of you is still trying to process what you have survived.
Therapy can become a safe and compassionate space to begin that healing.
I specialize in trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals navigating traumatic experiences, complicated grief, medical trauma, chronic illness, and profound life transitions. My approach honors the connection between mind, body, emotions, and the deeper wisdom within you.
Through EMDR, Brainspotting, Clinical Hypnosis, and Advanced Mind-Body Medicine, we gently support the nervous system in processing painful experiences, creating greater regulation, restoring a sense of safety, and reconnecting with your inner resilience.
Healing is not about forgetting what happened or returning to who you were before.
It is about tending to the wounds, honoring your story, and creating space for transformaton.
- Your experiences are part of your story, but they do not have to define your future.
- Your body carries memories, and it also carries wisdom.
- Healing unfolds through compassion, connection, and care.
As part of a holistic approach, I also incorporate practices such as mindfulness and sound healing to support grounding, presence, nervous system regulation, and a deeper connection with the body’s natural rhythms.
Together, we create a space where healing, growth, and renewal can unfold.
